We’ve been to Italy many times. First as a lay over to the Mid East on business. I took advantage of the time and spent a day wandering around Rome. Although I got so enamored with the Coliseum, that ate up most of my day.

Then I started traveling to Naples on business several times over a one year period. Managed to see quite a bit of Napoli, and managed to get to Pompei. Other than that there wasn’t a lot of sightseeing on these trips.

Then LB and I went to a World Superbike race at Monza. Monza has always been a sort of Mecca for us and it was everything we had hoped it to be. Spent the remaining time traveling around the North.

2012 we managed to see a little of the west while traveling between France and Switzerland, although we used this mainly to see if we would be interested in going back. Turns out, yes. We’re looking forward to going back. Probably 2014, as we try to arrange an F1 race at Monza, or maybe MotoGP in Mugello.
