Haifa, Israel

Haifa, Israel; 1983

Business trip to Haifa in the summer of 1983, for a little over two weeks. Was doing some work at the Technion University, and as is typical with most business trips there was very little free time for touring. As it was, barely had one free weekend there. Spent one afternoon at a maritime museum in Haifa that was excellent, but apparently I have no pics of that. If I find any, I’ll update the page, because there were a lot of interesting items in the museum. The other free day I had was spent out driving in the country out near the Sea of Galilee. Nevertheless, I had a great time there and have a lot of nice memories of my stay.

St. Peters house (obviously). Doubt he had a corrugated metal roof on it when he lived there though.

Was told this was the Golan Heights. Didn’t have a map, so I’m not positive. There were a fair number of military vehicles parked out in the scrubs though. Keep in mind, this was 1983, and thing have changed considerably since then

Besides being stone and old, not sure what this is.
